Over 200 people from the city gathered at Kingsholm in a glittering celebration ceremony that recognized amazing individuals and businesses across the county. The Pied Piper was thrilled to scoop up two awards, after being finalists in three categories, at this year’s Believe in Gloucester Awards.

In the category Best Community Event we were nominated with the popular Gloucestershire Motor Show held in June each year. 2017 saw us record a staggering £45,000 profit! The winner on the night went to Gloucester Quays Beach event.

We did win the Best Community Project with the newly renovated Children & Family Room at Wotton Lawn Hospital; a bright and positive environment that brings a welcome distraction for the children of mental health patients and proven to help reduce the chances of children also suffering in future years.

The evening came to a triumphant close with our vice chair, Julie Kent, receiving a standing ovation and well-deserved Ambassador Award for her tireless work and commitment to the charity.

All in all a fitting tribute and celebration to end the charity’s 25th Year and a big well done to all!
