Gloucestershire Royal Hospital Sends Heartfelt Thanks

to Pied Piper for New Scanner

The first of its kind in the county, the Pied Piper Appeal has purchased a brand new, advanced cardiovascular ultrasound machine for the Children's Centre Outpatients department in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, costing £79,000.

Paul Baldwin Appointed Trustee & Office Team Expands

Long-time supporter and friend of the Pied Piper Appeal, Paul Baldwin, has been appointed as a Trustee for the charity.

A familiar face within the business corridors of Gloucestershire, Paul recently retired from a highflying career at insurance and financial services company, Brunsdon, spanning 35 years.

Other team news sees the appointment of Richard West as the charity's fundraising and event manager. He joins office administrators, Holly Piper (no charity relation!) and Jane Bruton, in the busy Gloucestershire Royal Hospital-based office.

2gether NHS Foundation Trust thanks Pied Piper Appeal for interactive screens in children's waiting areas.

Children and young people visiting two of 2gether NHS Foundation Trust's sites will now have access to new interactive games, thanks to a generous donation from the Pied Piper Appeal. The charity, which helps sick and disadvantaged children, has donated the interactive screens, complete with a built-in seat, to the Trust's waiting rooms in Gloucester and Cheltenham. Visitors to the Children and Young Person Service (CYPS) at Acorn House, Gloucester, and Evergreen House, Cheltenham, have been putting the screens to good use while waiting for appointments.

Games provided by the Pied Piper entertain poorly children and their siblings during their time in the Hospital.

They provide a welcome distraction for the children and their parents also!

We are pleased to help and that the toys and electronic games are proving popular with the young ones.
