Fundraising: Corporate & Individuals
Many people support the charity at work, within the group or organisation they belong to, or simply on their own. There are many ways to support The Pied Piper Appeal.
Hold your own event
Organising an event in aid of The Pied Piper Appeal can be a lot of fun, and though it can be hard work it is a fantastic feeling when the event goes well. You can do a large or small event. It doesn’t matter the size or amount you make, we need your help, and fresh ideas are always welcome.
Before you start why not request a fundraising pack or give Tamara at the office a call on 08454 226119 to talk through your ideas.
Forest of Dean born Chris Reeves raised £3,280.50 in 2008, when he took up the challenge of a lifetime and ran the London Marathon. “It is one of those huge achievements in life, which you can say you have done, maybe only once, but you completed the London Marathon!” Chris explained.
The Pied Piper Appeal’s aims are close to his heart as he has a young daughter himself and friends who have children who may, sometimes, benefit from the work of the charity. “This is a local charity and I can see how the money I raise will help, maybe even help families I know in my community.”
Nick Broady, Trustee of The Pied Piper Appeal, during his club captaincy at Brickhampton Court Golf Club in 2008, and with Seniors Captain Glynn Howells raised a over £8,000.
Throughout the year they held a huge charity Golf Day, various auctions and raffles, as well as having a bottle on the bar for loose change

The Walkathon is our annual sponsored walk around the outskirts of Gloucester. The event inspires hundreds of walkers to take up the challenge to walk part of, or the entire 25 mile route. Wotton Hall Club in Hucclecote Gloucester have organised a large team for the past few years, always managing to raise hundreds of pounds and enjoying the day as a team.
Show Your Colours Day is a quick and easy way of raising money at work, school or any organisation. The event is held in September in association with Gloucester Festival of Rugby. People across the County take part by donating £1 to The Pied Piper Appeal for the privilege of wearing their Rugby shirt for the day. Employees at Messier-Dowty Ltd near Staverton took part and raised £220
Sponsor an event and we will include your company or organisation in the promotion of the event.
This need not be a monetary contribution; it could be an alliance of support or free advertising campaign for one event. Have a look at our events diary or give Jane and Tamara a call at the office to discuss a mutually beneficial relationship.
Alpha Colour Printers are a local Gloucester printing firm who have supported the charity for many years. Not only do they give us very good deals on printing of various materials for events and fundraising, attend our events and promote the charity with their contacts, but they sponsor a few events like the Walkathon by printing our literature free of charge.
